UPM : About
Universal Password Manager (UPM) is a tool written in Java and published under GPL which stores usernames, passwords, URLs and generic notes in an encrypted database protected by one master password. The database can be kept in sync across several locations by maintaining a shared copy in a remote HTTP location.
Thierry Uso has ported UPM 1.6 on OpenVMS. Porting means testing all the functions, writing a startup procedure and creating a PCSI kit.
UPM for OpenVMS needs Java 1.6.0 or later and must be installed on an ODS5 volume. UPM has been tested on Itanium.

This kit is based on the official archive upm-1.6.tar.gz.
UPM : Installation
1. Extract the PCSI kit from the ZIP archive
$ UNZIP “-V” FREE-I64VMS-UPM-V0106-0-1.ZIP
2. Install UPM in your chosen directory
By default, the installation procedure installs UPM in the SYS$COMMON:[upm] directory. To install it in dev:[dir.upm], use the /DESTINATION parameter of the PRODUCT command.
$ PRODUCT INSTALL upm
$ PRODUCT INSTALL upm /DESTINATION=dev:[dir]
3. Start UPM
4. Parameters File
UPM creates a parameters file in the SYS$LOGIN directory of the user. It is a good idea to set this file in version_limit=1
$ SET DEF SYS$LOGIN
$ PURGE upm.properties
$ SET FILE/VER=1 upm.properties
